🖍️ Very Young Learners
Our pre-schoolers make their first encounters with the target language through play – in small, age-appropriate groups, and always with a great deal of fun and joy.
Aim: Develop a natural feel for the language playfully and without performance pressure.

✏️ Young Learners
School-age kids discover language anew with us: at the JLC, they experience it not as a mere school subject, but – much more importantly – as a means of communication. They learn more than just English, but also about the world around us.
Aim: Deepen language skills and build independent learning habits.

🖊️ Teens
Teens get plenty of room to speak and improve their speaking and expressive skills – in small groups with a relaxed, pressure- and stress-free atmosphere. Teens are encouraged to develop self-expression and confidence, while also building emotional intelligence.
Aim: Improve fluency and communication by using language meaningfully and confidently.

🇬🇧 English Classes for Kids & Teens
The Junior Language Club offers regular weekly English courses for children and teens in Düsseldorf.
We focus on natural language acquisition via practicing free speaking and learning active listening, supplementing the English learned at school with more speaking practice, small group sizes, native speaking teachers and a friendly and fun environment that is free of stress, pressure and expectations to perform.
As our group class participants come from a wide range of educational backgrounds– we do not stick to any particular one academic curricula. Instead, our experienced teachers conceptualize each group curriculum individually and eagerly incorporate their likes and talents, and their personal experiences from their native countries into their lesson plans.
Our teachers’ selection of topics and activities for the given learning modules is deeply rooted in our Mission, Vision and Values.
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) plays an important role in our curriculum and course design, and we are currently in the process of becoming a Certified School of Kindness. In our classrooms, we introduce, foster and nourish fundamental values, such as empathy, inclusion, diversity, multiculturalism, environmental awareness and innovative curiosity. It is our firm belief that, in doing so, we equip our young learners with the tools they need to become empathetic and passionate world citizens of tomorrow.
Our academic team will ensure that you receive your child’s Progress Reports at regular intervals – usually, before the winter break, before the Easter break and before the end of the school year. In addition, we encourage and welcome feedback and engagements from the parents and we will be happy and eager to share with you the many wonderful assignments and projects that our young learners work on throughout the school year.
